Cross-border litigation and internationa arbitration ed. 2025

An International Space for Transnational Law

Launched in 2019 by Prof. Michele Angelo Lupoi, the Ravenna Summer School on Cross-Border Litigation and International Arbitration has become a key event for students, academics, and professionals interested in private international law and commercial arbitration.

The Summer School explores the increasing complexity of cross-border civil disputes in a globalized world marked by high mobility, digital innovation, and intricate legal frameworks. The program adopts a blended theoretical and practical approach, combining lectures, workshops, and roundtables led by internationally renowned scholars and professionals from both EU and non-EU jurisdictions.

2025 Edition – Topics and Highlights

The 2025 edition offers an intensive program focused on:

  • International jurisdiction and cyberspace disputes
  • Succession law and consumer protection in the EU
  • Arbitration procedures and arbitrator selection
  • Applicable laws in commercial arbitration
  • Class actions and ADR tools
  • The interplay between PIL, religion, and Asian legal traditions
  • Roundtables on territoriality, corporate governance, and jurisdiction clauses
