Corpo Europeo di Solidarietà

Il Corpo Europeo di Solidarietà (ESC) è un’opportunità di volontariato, nel proprio paese o all’estero, nell’ambito di progetti destinati ad aiutare comunità o popolazioni in Europa per un periodo di tempo compreso tra i 2 e i 12 mesi.

È rivolto ai giovani di età compresa tra i 18 e i 30 anni.

Per poter partecipare ad un progetto del Corpo europeo di solidarietà è necessario completare una semplice procedura di registrazione sul portale e creare un proprio profilo professionale. In questo modo le organizzazioni avranno modo di cercare nel database le persone adatte a svolgere i progetti ed eventualmente contattarle.

Prendere parte a un progetto del Corpo europeo di solidarietà costituisce un notevole traguardo per qualsiasi giovane. Questa esperienza offre infatti l’opportunità di entrare in contatto con nuove culture, esprimere solidarietà verso gli altri e acquisire nuove competenze e capacità utili alla formazione personale e professionale.

L’Unione Europea riconosce al volontario un pocket money mensile, l’accommodation e le spese di viaggio.

European Solidarity Corps

The European Solidarity Corps creates opportunities for young people to volunteer in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe, for a period of time that goes from 2 to 12 months.

It involves young people between the ages of 17 to 30 years. The minimum age request in order to take part in a project is 18 years.

In order to volunteer in a European Solidarity Corps’ project one must firstly complete the registration online and uphold the Mission and Principles of the ESC. After the registration, details will be held in the European Solidarity Corps’ system, and organisations will be able to search the database for people for their projects. Organisations will then ask selected participants to join these projects.

Taking part in a European Solidarity Corps project will be a significant achievement for any young person. It will be an asset when applying for a job and it will help you when you apply for higher education. This experience will give you the opportunity to know new cultures and to develop knew skills.

The European Union will give the volunteer a pocket money on a monthly basis and the accomodation.
